JOURNAL PRAVNIK AS THE FOUNDATION OF SLOVENIAN LEGAL CULTURE
"Pravnik was first published in 1862 (then the publisher was Dr. J.R. Razlag), and then it was published intermittently until 1888, when the Association of the Slovenian Jurists Societies became the publisher.
For this reason, the Association of the Slovenian Jurists Societies feels a special responsibility towards this journal.
After 1888, it was published with interruptions in 1918–1919 and 1945, during the war, continuously. From January 1965, it was published as Pravnik - a magazine for legal theory and practice.
We can therefore proudly say that the Pravnik magazine is part of Slovenian legal and general culture, which has merits for the establishment of the Slovenian language and the final formation of the Slovenian nation, and is also important for the development of Slovenian statehood. Let's preserve and strengthen the role of Pravnik magazine as a literary expression of Slovenian legal culture."

president of the Association of the Slovenian Jurists Societies, in the editorial of Pravnik magazine, no. 1–3/2008, p. 5-6.
