Stanko Lapajne, Founder of Private International Law in Slovenia and his Contribution to the Development of Private Law

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana, we are looking back to its rich history and commemorate its prominent professors, prof. dr. Stanko Lapajne being one of them.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana, we are looking back to its rich history and commemorate its prominent professors, prof. dr. Stanko Lapajne being one of them. He was a professor of private, international private, and criminal law at the time when the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana was founded, and paved the way for further development of Department of Civil Law. He significantly contributed to the developments of the Yugoslav private law and is considered to be the founder of private international law in Slovenia. The article is dedicated to his life and career and presents his scientific work in the fields of private and private international law.
