Human Dignity in a Technology-Oriented World: The Role of Constitutional Courts

At the very core of our liberal world lies one extraordinary value – the dignity of every human being. Are we convinced that this dignity will remain at the heart of our shared values in this world, which the author likes to call the post-liberal, technology-driven world?
At the very core of our liberal world lies one extraordinary value – the dignity of every human being. Are we convinced that this dignity will remain at the heart of our shared values in this world, which the author likes to call the post-liberal, technology-driven world? In this respect, privacy is the key element of human dignity. It is a necessary part of one’s self-realisation, one of the drivers of evolution. Are we ready for these challenges? The constitutional courts must be prepared for external challenges such as new technologies and their impact on core values and principles. At the same time, the constitutional courts must also be aware of the available and practical tools that they can use to respond to these new challenges.
